Spam-Ku!

The DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival is under way and I saw the greatest short film last night at their Wacky, Wicked and Wild shorts program. It was I WON A HAIKU CONTEST ABOUT SPAM directed by Stephen Tsuchida. For years, I have gotten endless joy from my book, Spam Ku: Tranquil Reflections on Luncheon Loaf by John Nagamichi Cho, so one can imagine how ecstatic I was that there was actually a short film on the very subject. I actually convinced the AFI Silver programmer, Todd Hitchcock to read a spam-ku for the audience last night. He opened the book randomly and picked one, so that is what I will do for you now.
