Animation Scoop Editor Jerry Beck is a writer, animation producer and author of over 15 books on animation history. He is a former studio exec with Nickelodeon Movies and Disney, was instrumental in launching Animation Magazine, co-founded Cartoon Brew and has written for The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. He is on the faculty of Woodbury University in Burbank and his latest book is The Art of Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

"Archies", "Superman", Star Trek" Animator Hal Sutherland has Passed Away

Hal Sutherland, who began his career as a Disney animator in 1954 working on Sleeping Beauty, and gained recognition in the late 1960s as a director of animated productions at Filmation, has passed away.
