Based on the light novels of Yuyuku Takemiya, the popular series Toradora! is less a romcom than a romfar, a romantic farce involving a group of mismatched teen-agers. The fun comes from the misunderstandings, faux pas, vain hopes, elaborate schemes and confusion that occur during a typical round of high school activities.

The internet rumour mill was firing on all cylinders this week with news that purported to show Studio Ghibli was stopping animation production and transforming into a copyright management entity instead. This apparent bombshell proved surprising to some, but in fact, is exactly what's to be expected and in fact, should be welcomed.
