Animation Scoop Editor Jerry Beck is a writer, animation producer and author of over 15 books on animation history. He is a former studio exec with Nickelodeon Movies and Disney, was instrumental in launching Animation Magazine, co-founded Cartoon Brew and has written for The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. He is on the faculty of Woodbury University in Burbank and his latest book is The Art of Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced its 'Call for Entries' for the 41st Annual Annie Awards to begin Tuesday, September 3rd. "In an effort to simplify the entry process, we’ve combined a few things that are due on November 4th," said ASIFA-Hollywood President, Frank Gladstone.

My friend Karl Cohen (president of Asifa-San Francisco) forwarded me this curious photo, snapped in Italy by his cousin Michael who was there on vacation. It's a strange poster, found on an alley wall in Italy. It reads "No MUOS - Yankee Go Home!"
