Animation Scoop Editor Jerry Beck is a writer, animation producer and author of over 15 books on animation history. He is a former studio exec with Nickelodeon Movies and Disney, was instrumental in launching Animation Magazine, co-founded Cartoon Brew and has written for The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. He is on the faculty of Woodbury University in Burbank and his latest book is The Art of Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

Director Dan Scanlon and his crew do a great job of spoofing campus life in this follow-up to Monsters Incorporated. If much of the story is predictable - a kind of Revenge of the Nerds with extra eyes, heads, tentacles and fur - it’s still a lot of fun.

We've nabbed an exclusive first look at the logo for Dreamworks Animation 2015 summer release. Based on an original idea by Tony Leondis (Igor), who is also directing, B.O.O. (Bureau of Otherworldly Operations) is being produced by Maryann Garger (Astro Boy, Flushed Away) and written by Tom Wheeler (Puss in Boots).
