ANIME TRAILERS: Two New Theatrical Anime Shorts

Tokyo's Studio Colorido is fast shaping up to become a studio to watch. Here is the trailer for their short film Hinata No Aoshigure from animator Hiroyasu Ishida (Fumiko's Confession). The film is is being released into three theaters in Tokyo, Yohohama, and Osaka next Saturday along with another short by Studio Colorido, Shashinkan, by Takashi Nakamura (Catnapped The Movie).

And here (below) is an image from Nakamura's short and a brief glimpse of footage below that. Short hand drawn films are a new trend in Japan - growing out of realities of cost, along with emerging popularity among internet viewers. More shorts like these, please!

    Yeah, sometimes animated films in Japan can run really short, but they're often shown as double or triple features. Toei Animation does this a lot I heard.
    I wish we can do something like that in the States.
