Annie Awards to Live Stream on Animation Scoop

Patrick Warburton is set to host the 41st annual Annie Awards on Saturday night February 1st - and Animation Scoop will be live streaming the event right here at 7pm PST. 

Asifa-Hollywood announced that the Winsor McCay Lifetime Achievement Award will go to anime master Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), producer/director Steven Spielberg and stop motion animator Phil Tippett. Mr. Otomo and Mr. Tippett will appear in person; Mr. Spielberg will also appear via satellite.

The June Foray Award to be presented to Alice Davis; and the Ub Iwerks Award will be presented to Dragonframe.  A Special Achievement award will be presented to the CTN Expo - and the Certificate of Merit will go to the documentary I Know That Voice.
