Without question, the animated Phineas and Ferb is a runaway hit for Disney Channel and Disney XD. And when kids (and their parents) start watching cartoons together - can celebrity voice casting be far behind?

Here's an exclusive clip (below) from the latest episode of Phineas and Ferb - titled "Mind Share?" - premiering Friday April 5th at  9:30 PM - 9:45 PM ET/PT on Disney Channel:

In "Mind Share?", the gang switches bodies with alien tourists only to realize they were duped into begin stranded in jail on an alien planet. Meanwhile, Doofenshmirtz finds himself asking Perry to be his wingman so he can impress a girl he met through a square dancing website named Rosie. Jaime Pressly voices the character of Rosie (center, in photo below).

The new episode premieres on Friday, April 5 (9:30 PM – 9:45 PM). This episode is also part of a larger programming initiative on Disney Channel called "Freaky Freakend," which is a weekend event featuring body swapping episodes of various original series, including "A.N.T. Farm," "Jessie," "Gravity Falls," "Dog With A Blog," "Austin & Ally," and "Shake It Up." (photos and clip courtesy DISNEY XD)

As with any show, Phineas and Ferb has its hits and misses, but it hits its target far more often than not. I had dismissed the show for years without watching until I sat through a couple of episodes one afternoon and really loved the writing. There are plenty of in-jokes, parodies, puns, breaking the fourth wall, and lots of sly nods to the adults in the audience that will go right over most kids' heads. It's a smart, funny show, with great voice casting, writing and directing. I became so addicted, I ended up catching up on the first three seasons through Netflix. Just for the brilliant original music they create for each show, it's worth checking out.
