Tinker Bell's latest adventure, The Pirate Fairy, is set to hit stores next spring. Today, Animation Scoop has the first look at its home video cover artwork, which showcases the title fairy, Zarina, as well as a younger James Hook. (Click here to see enlarged image)

From DisneyToon Studios, The Pirate Fairy is the fifth feature in the Disney Fairies series. Peggy Holmes directs the film, having also helmed the franchise’s previous entry, Secret of the Wings. Jennifer Magee-Cook enters the franchise as producer, having served as an associate producer on Disney’s critically acclaimed Prep & LandingTV specials.

Last week, the latest trailer for The Pirate Fairy went online. Here is the feature’s official synopsis:

From the world of Peter Pan comes The Pirate Fairy, a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who's captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina's wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who'll soon be known as Captain Hook himself.

The Pirate Fairy will be released directly to Blu-ray and DVD on April 1, 2014.

Seriously. What is wrong with this site? Why are there sexual articles and nude pictures on an animation site?

Maybe Jerry can elaborate, but I don't think Animation Scoop has any control over the "You might also like" section of the site. Animation Scoop is part of the Indie Wire network, which controls those ads.

With that said, yes, I wish I could check the site on my lunch break without the slightest hesitation that I might get into trouble with our HR department.
