Here is the full three minute trailer (in Japanese) for anime-master Hayao Miyazaki's latest Studio Ghibli release, The Wind Rises (Kaze ga Tachinu). The film tells the story of Jiro Horikoshi, the designer of the infamous Japanese Zero Fighters used in World War II. No U.S. release has been set... yet.

    My kids LOVED Ponyo and Totoro. Can't wait to take them to a matinee of Miyazaki's latest!

    It will be very interesting to see if any North American distributor picks this up. While there have been films for adults that take the side of an Axis power, like Das Boot, I don't know if audiences are ready for a cartoon that does the same.
