Sensing some money from the Brony fanbase, Screenvision has teamed up with Hasbro Studios and Shout! Factory to bring the full-length feature, My Little Pony Equestria Girls to theaters across the U.S. and Canada beginning June 16th. Here's the trailer:

"We are so pleased to partner with Screenvision and work once again with Shout Factory to create a brand new way for audiences to experience MY LITTLE PONY," said Stephen Davis, president, Hasbro Studios. “We are thrilled that EQUESTRIA GIRLS will be seen on the big screen and available at-home, everywhere Pony fans are watching our beloved characters.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls is a brand new full-length feature - originally produced for direct-to-video sale and to be telecast as a special on The Hub channel - which introduces a whole new dimension into the My Little Pony world. It turns the pony characters into human girls.

"When a crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle pursues the thief into an alternate world where she transforms into a teenage girl who must survive her biggest challenge yet…high school. With help from her new friends who remind her of Ponyville's Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, she embarks upon a quest to find the crown and change the destiny of these two parallel worlds."

Yep, it's going theatrical - limited playdates, but theatrical nonethless. Here's the one sheet:
