MY FIRST BLOG

New to the blogging universe, I would initially say that the whole thing seems like a waste of time. As if we didn’t have enough information to sift through already, do we really need more? And do I really have the time to write anymore than I already do? Unedited and unfiltered, blogs might be appreciated for their looseness and attitude. But indieWIRE’s always been largely without editing, so I’m not sure if there’s any difference. (Ha ha)

I guess the difference lies in the personal (read: narcissistic) nature of the content. Do we really need to know that the indieWIRE editor-in-chief’s favorite airline is Jet Blue? No. But as Dogville so beautifully illustrates, America is often about getting things that we don’t really need.

But I guess if we want to get to know our fearless iW leader better, sure, why not learn about his favorite airlines and what he ate for lunch? So if blogging helps anyone out there in cyber-land get to know me better, my cinematic proclivities and on the other hand, the film industry missteps that make me quake, I guess here’s the place to read about it.
