Before I head out to Cannes, here is a taste of what's to come: Over at The Daily Reel, I've compiled a list of five Cannes film trailers to wet your appetite. And if you speak French (and even if you don't), here is the teaser trailer to Marjane Satrapi's "Persepolis."
For an added bonus, here is a link to Orson Welles offering a shared best directing Palm to Andrei Tarkovsky (with "Nostalgia") and Robert Bresson (with "L'Argent") in Cannes in 1983. And they don't look particularly happy. And pay attention to the sounds of the crowd: which one gets the most booing?
