New "Breathless" Trailer, 50 Years Later
1

If you're a fan of Jean-Luc Godard's "Breathless" (and how could you not be if you're reading this blog), check out the new trailer (below) created for the film's 50th anniversary release by Rialto Pictures and Film Forum honcho Bruce Goldstein. Inspired by Godard's original hilarious semiotic teaser, the venerable repertory programmer and distributor wrote and directed the new English language version, which was produced by Bob Warmflash (post-production supervisor for "The Cove"), edited by Arthur Carlson and features a coquettish French-accented voice-over provided by Alliance Francaise programmer Marie Loisier. The Film Forum hosts the movie's return on May 28. For more info, here's a link to their "Breathless" page.
