Where You Should #OCCUPYTHECINEMAS This Friday

ReelPolitik By Anthony Kaufman | ReelPolitik February 29, 2012 at 9:20PM

If you haven't heard about #OCCUPYTHECINEMAS, this Friday's Day of Action to protest corporate cinema, please read my previous post and sign the petition. Now that you're ready to join the campaign against the restrictive, monopolizing ways of Hollywood and support a more independent, democratic cinema, where do you go from here? To the art-house, my friends!

At PBS's Independent Lens blog, there is a handy Art House Theater map with a list of art-houses around the country, from the Gold Town Nickeolodeon in Juneau, Alaska (where you can see Andrew Okpeaha MacLean's indie "On The Ice" this Fri at 9:30pm) to the Rose Theatre in Port Townsend, Washington (to see "Albert Nobbs.")
