10 LGBT Film Festivals To Head To This June

Pride Month is upon us and it's pretty much as a good a month as it gets for LGBT film festival around the world.  So in this monthly series here at /bent, we're offering a directory of some of the most notable festivals in that regard (if you happen to live near these ten cities, at least). From Tel Aviv to San Francisco to Seoul to Honolulu, here's where to get your LGBT cinema on this June:

Out Twin Cities Film Festival
When: June 4-8
Where: The Mall of America in Minnesota
Programming Highlights: Relocating to the Mall of America for its 5th edition, Minnesota's main LGBT film event includes feature films like "To Be Takei," "Drunktown's Finest," "The New Black," "The Rugby Player" and "Matt Shepard is a Friend of Mine," as well as Queer Media Project, a youth focused twelve week crash course in film making at Minneapolis Television Network, who will showcase their final project at the festival.

Seoul LGBT Film Festival 
When: June 4-10
Where: Seoul, South Korea
Programming Highlights: The biggest LGBT film festival in South Korea is bringing the likes of "I Want Your Love," "Stranger By The Lake," "Born This Way," "In The Name of" and "I Am Divine" to the Seoul Art Cinema (the website was largely in Korean so we couldn't find much information beyond that).

Case Against 8
When: June 7-16
Where: Tel Aviv, Israel
Programming Highlights: Coinciding with the largest Pride Festival in the Middle East, Tel Aviv's LGBT film festival offers a great lineup of some of the best LGBT films to hit the recent festival circuit, including "52 Tuesdays," "Eastern Boys," "The Way He Looks," "Vulva 3.0" and "To Be Takei" -- as well as a strong collection of Israeli features and shorts.  (/bent will also be covering this fest!)

Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival
When: June 10-15
Where: Honolulu, Hawaii
Programming Highlights: The 25th anniversary of Hawaii's LGBT film festival includes a slew of great films, like "The Case Against 8," "The Circle," "The Dog," "Floating Skyscrapers," "Free Fall," "Reaching For The Moon," "Test," "Tom at the Farm" and "The Way He Looks." Plus, it's in Hawaii!

B'More QFest: A Film & Media festival
When: June 12-15
Where: Baltimore, Maryland
Programming Highlights: The town that brought us John Waters and "The Wire" offers 4 days of LGBT film this June, including "Heterosexual Jill," "The Rugby Player," "To Be Takei," "Laurence Anyways," "The Little House That Could," "The 10 Year Plan" and loads of great short films.
