Hey New York: You Need To Go To Jonathan Caouette's 'Micro' Queer Film Festival This Weekend

From notable feature films like "Shortbus," "How To Survive a Plague" and "Jobriath A.D." to short films from a list of folks including Ira Sachs, Jennie Livingston, Cam Archer, Alan Cumming, Travis Mathews, John Krokikas, Jim Hansen, Jamie Babbit and PJ Raval, Jonathan Caouette has assembled quite the film program at Brooklyn's Wythe Hotel Cinema this weekend.

Named The Queer and Bent Audio Visual Program, it all goes down at Brooklyn's Wythe Hotel Cinema (80 Wythe Avenue) on June 26, 28 and 29. The short programs are all free, with the features $15. It's definitely a worthwhile alternative to the Pride shitshow going down in Manhattan, or you could easily do both.  And full disclosure slash shameless self-promoting: We're proud to admit that /bent's Peter Knegt and Oliver Skinner have a short film in the Thursday night program.
