June is Pride Month, commemorating the 1969 Stonewall riots and asking all of us to remember how we got where we are today. So we thought it might be fun to start up an annual Pride Month poll here at /bent, asking our readers to tell us the films, television shows, books, and people (both fictional and real) that have been important to them in the past 45 years.

Seventy-two people responded, and here's the full results:

25 Most Important LGBT Films

25 Most Important LGBT Filmmakers

25 Most Important LGBT TV Series

25 Most Important LGBT Actors and Actresses

25 Most Important LGBT Musicians

25 Most Important LGBT Anthems

25 Most Important LGBT Fictional Characters

25 Most Important LGBT Public Figures

I second that. What happened to the 25 important LGBT books and writers? As a voter I was interested in seeing the result.

The majority of voters for whatever sad reason did not fill out the books and writers so it didn't feel like enough weight to announce here, but we will share the results anyway next week.
