We've been big fans of the films since we caught it at Sundance, and the new clip gives you a good idea as to why.

Gregg Araki's latest is hitting theaters soon, and distributor Magnolia Pictures is offering up a brand new trailer in anticipation. We've been big fans of the films since we caught it at Sundance, and the new clip gives you a good idea as to why.

Sexy and hilarious and brutal in that unique Arakian way, "White Bird" is based on Laura Kasischke's book of the same name. Set in the late 1980s, it follows teenage Kat (Shailene Woodley -- which clearly is going to seriously benefit the film's ) as she comes of age amidst the disappearance of her disturbed trainwreck of a mother (Eva Green, in glorious Mommy Dearest mode). It'll be interesting to see what fans of Woodley's much more mainstream work in "Fault In Our Stars" and "Divergent" end up thinking of the much darker, weirder "White Bird." But frankly we're excited for them to find out.

Watch the trailer here. "White Bird In A Blizzard" opens on VOD on September 25th and in limited release on October 24th (in the US):
