With Sundance past its half-way point, it's pretty safe to already say that it's been a remarkably strong year for films with LGBT content (which sure does work for this blog because it's launching in the midst of it). But perhaps the single most emotional moment when it came to gays at Sundance was the Q&A for the premiere of Ben Cotner and Ryan White's powerful doc "The Case Against 8," which chronicles the 5 year legal battle to take down Proposition 8 in California. More on the film itself in the next day or two, but for now, pretend you were there and watch the Q&A from the film's premiere. As the person next to me in the audience said right before it: "I can't believe I'm giving a tear-fueled standing ovation to lawyers."
