You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would give a thumbs down to the Roger Ebert documentary, "Life Itself".  It has garnered raves at the Sundance Film Festival this past winter as "Hoop Dreams" director, Steve James, lovingly paints a portrait of one of the film business' great commentators through his years as a Chicago film critic, into the balcony with Gene Siskel, finding love at 50 and battling cancer which would eventually take his life.  Magnolia is releasing the film in select theatres and VOD this Friday.

John, Paul, George, Ringo and Paul's Grandfather are back for the 50th anniversary restored re-release of "A Hard Day's Night" from Janus Films.  The company's website has a list of theatrical engagements, ranging from full week presentations, such as the one beginning this Friday at the Film Forum in New York, to 1-2 day engagements.  The aforementioned Roger Ebert succinctly recapped the film's appeal by once writing "(A Hard Day's Night) is one of the great life affirming landmarks of the movies".
