It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Dreamworks Animation and Fox as the companies have re-slotted two November animated offerings to Christmas playdates. Here's a list of those changes plus all the other movement from a busy week at the Release Schedule Board...
MCFARLAND---DISNEY---NOW 2/20/15 WAS 11/21/14
Uh yeah, good move guys getting this Kevin Costner track movie (no, he doesn't run) out mile-a-minute November of this year and onto a 2015 date that right now only include two gun movies, Open Road's Sean Penn-starrer, "Gunman" and Natalie Portman in Relativity's "Jane Got A Gun".
ROCK THE KASBAH---OPEN ROAD---NOW 4/24/15
Ok we already love this movie and we haven't seen a thing on it. Down-On-His-Luck rock manager Bill Murray travels with his last client to a USO tour stop in Afghanistan and discovers a young girl who he eventually grooms for an Afghan televised singing competition. Right now the film has April 24th all to its lonesome. Shareef don't like it, but we do.
PUSS IN BOOTS 2: 9 LIVES AND 40 THIEVES--DREAMWORKS ANIM/FOX---NOW 12/21/18 WAS 11/2/18
Right now it's the only animated title for Christmas 2018
THE CROODS 2---DREAMWORKS ANIMATION/FOX---NOW 12/22/17 WAS 11/3/17
Sequel moves away from "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and one of the 62 untitled Marvel movies and into a Christmas playtime that has no other animated offerings.
Legendary action thriller with Emily Mortimer and Bruce Greenwood currently has this late summer date to itself.
Legendary Christmas horror comedy faces Thanksgiving block of films that include Disney's "The Good Dinosaur", Fox's "The Martian" and WB's "Midnight Special"
