The 3D documentary, "Under The Electric Sky", is being made available through a partnership between Insomniac, Focus Features and crowdsourcing company Tugg, starting on May 29th. The film is a look at EDM (electronic dance music) through the eyes of six groups attending the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) that took place in Las Vegas. The carnival, which has become the largest dance music event in North America, as it attracted more than 350,000 festivalgoers in 2013, and features immersive entertainment featuring state-of-the-art stage production , pyrotechnics and lighting, roaming theatrical performers and dancers, full scale carnival rides and interactive art installations.
The fan-created event screenings will begin May 29th and then continue throughout the summer. EDM fans can request and host screenings thereafter via Tugg.
