"Godzilla" finally came to the Chinese shores, even though it's barely a hop, skip and a jump from Japan, and roared its way to $36 million this past weekend.  The country accounted for all but $2 million of the film's total overseas gross and was good enough to drive the big green lizard to the top of the International box office, though it was hardly a runaway as both "Edge of Tomorrow" and "Maleficent" gave it a run for its money.

As expected, the World Cup cut into most country's box offices with no title topping the $40 million mark.  Here are the complete International estimates...

1)   GODZILLA---$38 MILLION---$248 MILLION CUME

2)   EDGE OF TOMORROW---$37.4 MILLION---$181 MILLION CUME

3)   MALEFICENT---$37.2 MILLION---$273 MILLION CUME

4)   HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2---$24.8 MILLION (25 markets)

5)   X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST---$18 MILLION---$457 MILLION CUME

6)   THE FAULT IN OUR STARS---$16 MILLION---$39 MILLION CUME

7)   22 JUMP STREET---SONY---$7 MILLION---$20 MILLION CUME

8)   A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST---$4 MILLION---$26 MILLION

9)   NOAH---$4 MILLION---$251 MILLION

10) FROZEN---$4 MILLION---$852 MILLION
