Overseas Auds Hooked On A Feeling As "Guardians" Mine A Nifty $66 Million Take

Proving that bad-ass raccoons and talking trees do indeed translate to international audiences, Disney/Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" rocked out to a cool $66.4 million overseas.

Proving that bad-ass raccoons and talking trees also translate to international audiences, Disney's "Guardians of the Galaxy" rocked out to a cool $66.4 million overseas.  The Marvel superhero tentpole was #1 in virtually every market and was helped along by $5.3 million coming from its 157 Imax screens, an August record.  "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" held in well, even with the "Guardians" onslaught as their total cume rose to $260 million.  Sony's "22 Jump Street" passed the $100 million mark.  And finally, all hail "Transformers: Age of Extinction" which, thanks largely to an international cume of $763 million, crossed the $1 billion worldwide mark this past weekend.  Here are the estimates
