Oscar hopefuls, family adventures and two tentpoles both landing on the same day all highlight this week's list of release schedule additions and changes.

GEOSTORM--WARNER BROTHERS--NOW 3/25/16
Dean Devlin and Gerard Butler team up to stop satellites from destroying the earth.   The film had the week to itself until....

BEVERLY HILLS COP--PARAMOUNT--NOW 3/25/16
Brett Ratner directs Eddie Murphy in this action comedy reboot

LONDON HAS FALLEN--FOCUS--NOW 10/2/15.
There's that man again, Gerard Butler, this time in the "Olympus Has Fallen" sequel, saving Jolly Ol' England from terrorists.  When asked for a comment The Queen replied, "We are not amused".

UNTITLED SMURFS MOVIE--SONY--NOW 8/5/16   WAS 8/14/15
"Smurfs" prequel (?) pushed back a year, presumably to allow Gargamel to deal with his legal issues.

GOOSEBUMPS--SONY--NOW 8/7/15   WAS 3/23/16
Luckily Sony had Jack Black waiting in the wings for that family-friendly August time frame.  Let's hope this fares better than Black's last family adventure, "Gulliver's Travels"

PIXELS---SONY---NOW 5/15/15
Adam Sandler, Josh Gad and Kevin James save the universe from 80's video game villains.  C'mon guys, what did poor Frogger ever do to you?

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY--WEINSTEIN--NOW 9/26/14
Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy relationship drama is Weinstein's #1 Oscar hopeful release date announcement of the week.

THE IMITATION GAME--WEINSTEIN--NOW 11/21/14
Let me go on record as saying this is the film that I'm currently most looking forward to this year.  Benedict Cumberbatch tries to break Germany's Enigma code in WWII (no, Martin Freeman is not around to help).

BIG EYES--WEINSTEIN--NOW 12/25/14
Amy Adams, Christoph Waltz star as exes battling over rights to Amy's paintings.  Trust me, it's way more interesting than my lame attempt at a synopsis.  Oh by the way, Tim Burton directs.
