Everyone's favorite 84 year old director, Clint Eastwood, returns to the helmer's chair for the first time since 2011's "J. Edgar" with "Jersey Boys", the Broadway retelling of the rise of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. In addition, Sony sends Steve Harvey's gang to Vegas in "Think Like A Man Too".

It's summer and that means the Silly Season is upon us. Sequels abound, Apes and Ninja Turtles are once again primed to cause box office wreckage and there's something called "The Fluffy Movie" so it's never too early to look ahead to the time when the summer dust settles and moviegoers can finally sink their teeth into some serious fare.

Sony announced today that it is moving the Cameron Diaz/Jason Segel comedy, "Sex Tape" from July 25th to July 18th. In vacating the 25th, it avoids a box office showdown with Universal's Scarlett Johansson actioner, "Lucy", Paramount's "Hercules" and Lionsgate's latest "Step Up" movie.

Relativity announced an August 14, 2015 release date for their untitled armored car project, starring Zach Galifiankis, Owen Wilson and Kristen Wiig. The film, from "Napoleon Dynamite" helmer Jared Hess, revolves around a mild mannered armored car driver (Galifianakis) who's conned into stealing $20 million by his work crush (Wiig)

76 Seconds Of A Revolving Slipper: The First Teaser For "Cinderella"

Interesting. I'm not sure what to make of this teaser as it's simply 76 seconds of a revolving glass slipper. Disney's latest dip into the "Cinderella" well is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Lily James and Cate Blanchett and opens March 3rd of next year.

Alvin & The Chipmunks Go Into Hibernation Until 2016

Fox announced today that the kiddies will have to wait another year for their Alvin fix as they moved "Alvin & The Chipmunks 4" from next Christmas to December 16, 2016. The franchise remains a money maker for the company with the last Alvin offering, "Chipwrecked", tallying $133 million domestic and $342 million worldwide.
