This Monday marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I and although most of us know that the war was ignited by the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, we seem to know little else. Dealflicks, a self-proclaimed "Priceline for movie tickets", has raised $1.7 million in seed funding to launch an app based discounted movie ticket and concessions service which aims to bring users information on what local movie theatres are offering for discounts.

I was someone's lucky date to the Westwood premiere of Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel's new comedy, Sex Tape, but I was skeptical.
