For late August it certainly was an interesting weekend for indie releases. Alfred Molina and John Lithgow proclaim that "Love Is Strange" and indie auds came out this weekend to see what the fuss was about. The film debuted to $127,000 in 5 runs. Elsewhere "The Trip To Italy" and "Boyhood" continue to post solid upscale market numbers.

There's nothing like an opening in China to move a film back up the box office standings. Languishing "How To Train Your Dragon 2" got a Beijing Boost this weekend, pulling in almost $26 million from that country, allowing the film to take the #1 spot on the International Box Office charts. "Expendables 3" was far less lucky.
