As we are all aware there's nothing like a good, soaking rainstorm to kill outdoor plans and drive potential moviegoers scurrying to their local multiplex.  Such is the case this week as a huge rain event, as Meteorologists now label rainstorms, moves through the Mid-Atlantic and into New England this coming weekend.  The storm, which has the potential of 2-4 inches of rain, moves into the I-95 Corridor on Friday, dumping rain on Washington,DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and the Greater New York area, continuing into Saturday, which is when the storm moves into New England as well.  For that reason we are predicting stronger than expected numbers for Friday and Saturday in the Mid-Atlantic and New England, which I will figure into the Projected Top 10 when it appears on Box Office Insider Friday morning.
