Von Trier’s “Antichrist” Superstar

There are many images sent to indieWIRE but it was hard to pass this one up, which is a scene from the latest by Lars Von Trier entitled, “Antichrist.” It might be a bit uncomfortable getting a little somethin’ somethin’ while laying on some heavy roots, but it seems like they don’t mind. Bring on the Sexy and Outrageous Lars!

I chatted with an industry-insider who said he had read the script and seen a promo reel of the film, which stars William Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg (the lovely couple in the foreground). He describes it as a “horror film,” which might not come as a surprise, of course. “It’s gonna be great,” said the insider, “I’m told it is one of his best. He’s been working very hard on it.” Undoubtedly, Von Trier will show “Antichrist” at this year’s Cannes.
