House as a metrosexual? Not exactly. L’Oreal Paris has announced that Hugh Laurie will be a spokesman for its line of skincare for men, but there is nothing ordinary about the teasing on-line video released with the announcement. Laurie - looking fabulously groomed, of course – sits having a manicure but talks in his own naturally ironic, witty style.
He claims to be Gerard Butler (another L’Oreal spokesmodel) before using the products, and talks about self-worth, playing off the L’Oreal tagline that we’re “worth it.” It’s an inspired - or at least amusing - way to sell. Take a look.
