Edward Norton as Owen Wilson in a Wes Anderson film -- that is perfect casting, in SNL's trailer for a horror movie a la Anderson: The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders.

The visual style was Moonrise Kingdom, the references heavy on Royal Tenenbaums, and the supposed Anderson actors included Gwyneth Paltrow, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman.

More loving homage than satire, the parody has the same quality of delight as an Anderson film. After all, Norton was in Moonrise Kingdom and is part of the large, starry cast of the next real Anderson film, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Here's the SNL trailer.

And if you missed it, here's the irresistible, authentic trailer for Grand Budapest Hotel.

what is it with Indiewire - gone Corporate Wire? Now you suggest things for me to see but only if I live in the US. You probably don't realise how insulting that is. Especially as corporations like Apple charge Australians up to twice as much for video, music and even hardware (their argument by the way, is Because We Can). Yes, we're fourth division in the ICT corporate world. Now also being treated as such by the indies...
