Ron Burgundy – aka Will Ferrell - stopped by Conan O’Brien’s show last night to officially announce that Anchorman 2 has a greenlight. The sequel to 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, was once intended for Broadway, but will appear on screen after all, reportedly with Paul Rudd and Steve Carell, who played Burgundy’s partners in action-news.
The original gave us the classic tag line, “Stay Classy, San Diego” - really more than any anchorman can expect from a career.
But local news has become even more worthy of parody, so lucky for us there's more Burgundy to come. Here’s how Ferrell announced the sequel.
