
The end of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” was obvious fodder for late night shows, but Jon Stewart handled the story best, with a mix of absurdist gay jokes (Jason Jones dancing in teeny cut-off jeans) and sincere relief that the policy has changed.
Stewart even managed a wacky quick detour that featured a talking Emmy award (from Sunday's worst Emmys ever ) that mocked The Daily Show's win - and why was a winner doing a stale Bill Clinton joke? - even as it reminded us that they beat the competition. Take a look:
