First he created the Sarah Palin History Channel, but now Conan O'Brien tells us it has been reprogrammed as the Michele Bachmann History Channel, in which we have a glimpse of the Founding Fathers convening to "gratify the Constitution" as Bachmann's fake voiceover puts it.

You wouldn’t think it would be so hard for presidential candidates to get a grip on some basics of American history. I know they’re busy with their stylists and their strategists - like the geniuses who thought Michele Bachmann should launch her campaign from Waterloo – but how hard is it to know that the Founding Fathers didn’t work "tirelessly against slavery," as Bachmann claimed, but that many of them owned slaves instead?

Conan O’Brien has had a lot of fun with Sarah Palin’s fractured sense of history, from her defense of her dead-wrong telling of the Paul Revere story to the way a Sarah Palin History Channel would imagine the Founding Fathers. And he’s not through trying to educate her. The Conan website has created "The Terrible Twenty: Sarah Palin History Lessons," in which the Conan writers offer Palin’s most important lessons on U.S. history.
