Every other show was in a battle for second.

Breaking Bad

We'll get to the full list of winners in HitFix's second annual TV critics poll, in a second, but first let's look at the totals. Breaking Bad came in first, with 454 points. Orange Is the New Black finished second with 219, and Game of Thrones immediately behind with 217. For those who aren't great at math, that means Breaking Bad got more, and higher, votes than the second- and third-place shows combined. Heisenberg wins again.

Orange, not surprisingly, topped the list of best new shows, tied with Masters of Sex. Oddly, Orphan BlackThe Returned and Rectify all finished higher than Top of the Lake, which made the overall Top 10 while those shows didn't. According to HitFix's Daniel Feinberg: "There were two separate lists. People do weird s***."
