How excited are Danish critics about the year in film? Very, very excited.

It can be hard to tell one critics' groups award from another, but the Danish National Association of Film Critics want you to remember their faces -- as well as the rest of them. To lay the groundwork for February's Bodil Awards, they've released a collection of images inspired by the pre-release campaign for Lars von Trier's  Nymphomaniac. Their accompanying statement reads:

Some may think that we all just sit in our ivory towers, looking down on the film landscape with critical eyes, having no fun at all. But just like anyone else, also we can be excited by great movie experiences - and we are not afraid to share the excitement with all of you!

Much as I love my critical colleagues, there are exceedingly few I'd want to see in the throes of sexual ecstasy, but I'm a little bit in love with Information's Christian Mongaard now. This week's Criticwire Survey shows plenty of excitement for Trier's film, but it doesn't seem anyone's as excited as his fellow Danes.
