The canceled cult series now has six days to find a new home.

According to TVLine's Michael Ausiello, talks between Sony Pictures Television and Hulu about a new season of "Community" have ended without results, making the proverbial "six seasons and a movie" even more of a long shot. With only six days until the actors' contracts expire on June 30, that puts Sony under the gun, since with the cast's increased profiles, signing them to new contracts would be prohibitive. The critical favorite TV show has escaped the axe before, but barring a last-minute infusion of frozen Pierce Hawthorne sperm, it's not looking good this time.
