As DIY promo for her forthcoming 'Anatomy of an Actor,' Karina Longworth has made her own shirts and posters.

Advertising budgets for most new books are next to nil, but that hasn't stopped Karina Longworth from trying to drum up some anticipation for her forthcoming Meryl Streep: Anatomy of an Actor. The book isn't due out until January 15th, which the former L.A. Weekly Film Editor notes is "apparently, exactly 3 weeks after the year’s most fertile time for gift-giving." But if you act now! -- or any time between now and 6 p.m. Eastern on December 16th -- and email Longworth a receipt showing you've purchased a copy, she'll send you either a poster painted by Zachary Johnson (and seen in detail above), or a t-shirt which makes the book look a little like an Iron Maiden album.

This being the time of year for such things, Longworth has also posted her top 20 films of the year, favorite performances and so on at her blog.
