Easy Money blurb

From: ImpAwards.com

Movie"Easy Money"

Pull Quote: "An epic European thriller to rival Stieg Larsson. It's an entirely new criminal world, beautifully rendered -- and wildly thrilling."

Author: James Ellroy, Blurbed on a Book Cover

Why It's Weird: The quote itself wouldn't be all that weird, if it wasn't for the five words that precede it: "Based on the Novel James Ellroy Calls..." In other words: Ellroy praised the book "Easy Money" is based on, not the movie itself, but the poster treats the two as one in the same. Which is weird, if not totally crazy. Would you put a pull quote about Tom Wolfe's "Bonfire of the Vanities" on the poster for Brian De Palma's adaptation? "If you love Nathaniel Hawthorne's 'Scarlet Letter' you'll love Roland Joffé's version with Demi Moore masturbating in a bathtub!"? Yeah, no, you wouldn't. Easy money, huh?
