And now, it's time for another installment of Weird Pull Quote Theater!

Movie"Hide Away"

Pull Quote: "A Beautifully Crafted Tale of Redemption and Renewal."

Author: Joe Leydon, Variety

Original Quote, in Context: "A quietly contemplative, deliberately paced tale of renewal and redemption, ['Hide Away'] sails smoothly, if not downright defiantly, far beyond the commercial mainstream. Pic may strike some as reminiscent of Robert Bresson's more meditative works, while others will liken it to '70s character-driven dramas by the likes of Bob Rafelson and Jerry Schatzberg -- all of which should indicate the unlikelihood that Chris Eyre's beautifully crafted indie will make a big commercial splash."

Why It's WeirdIt's not weird because whoever picked this poster's pull quotes Frankensteined this one from portions of two different sentences. Rightly or wrongly, that sort of thing is done in movie marketing all the time; if the quote isn't exactly what the writer said, it's still basically within the spirit of his original comments. No, the weird part is very simple: the poster has a typo. It misspells the author's name as "Laydon" instead of "Leydon." Whoops.
