My Way Pull Quote 2

FromDVD Box Art

Movie"My Way"

Pull Quote: "Most powerful war film since 'Saving Private Ryan.'"

Author: Avi Offer, NYC Movie Guru

Original Quote, in Context: "At its core, 'My Way' has as much humanity and heart as any of the great war films. It's the best war film since 'Saving Private Ryan.'"

Why It's WeirdBecause, for reasons I can't understand, whoever pulled this quote decided not to preface it with the word 'the.' The odd phrasing led me to the original review, which, not surprisingly, is worded differently than the pull quote. Yet the actual line -- "The best war film since 'Saving Private Ryan'" -- sounds even more tailor-made for pull-quotation. Isn't being the best better than just the most powerful? And isn't either one better with the word 'the' in front of it? Perplexing decisions like that have helped "My Way" become (the) first film to appear twice in Weird Pull Quote Theater. Kudos, "My Way," for consistently and weirdly doing things your way.

This has been another installment of Weird Pull Quote Theater!
