Alice Wu SAVING FACE

A picture named wusfposter.jpgDirector Alice Wu Stands Out

IndiewireINSIDER posted a link to a SF Gate Article by Jeff Yang on director Alice Wu regarding her film SAVING FACE. Since the film is opening in LA and NY, Wu is getting a lot of attention right now. The film has screened in several festivals (including Sundance 2005) and has been a hit with critics and audiences.

I found the article fascinating because I saw Wu's film at Sundance and loved it. Since I'm the target demographic, it's not surprising that I liked it but I was knew the film was something special when Mike Montesa, a twenty-something male from MCC (who blogs at Fotovizion.Com) was also captivated by it. The multi-generational look at family dynamics makes the film appealing for everyone.

I recently I posted two VIDEOcasts from the Sundance Q&A that give a walking, talking, breathing echo to the Yang article. Those links are:

It looks like they've added more elements to the Sony Classics SAVING FACE official site (although I have a lot of trouble with it freezing up). Take a look at the article, the vCasts and the site. Be sure to catch the film!!
