Road Closed Opens Doors
I've been working at setting up a Student Film Festival for the MCC digital filmmaking students. Since we're using Macintosh editing and compositing systems, it seemed like a natural hook-up to connect with the Arizona Apple Stores. I discovered that my Apple Representative is a CLOSET FILMMAKER. Bob had mentioned that he was taking few days off to "work on" a horror film in New Mexico. As it turns out, he's the Executive Producer on ROAD CLOSED. Naturally, they've got a pretty nice site up with production stills, synopsis and trailers.
It turns out that writer/director Matthew Daniel Page is a horror aficionado. He's made several horror shorts including KILLER PUMPKINS. Page's website is a GREAT resource for lovers of horror film. There is a page of links that includes a hop to Sinister Search.
I was delighted to find a drawing of the 1954 Classic CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. That film scared the beejesus out of me when I was staying with my relatives in Racine. I was about eight. My uncle worked the late shift so we were watching Creature and waiting for him to come home. BIG MISTAKE!
