Tis the Season for Sundance
BY CYNDI GREENING, PHOENIX, USA — Sundance is rapidly approaching! If you're interested in attending the festival, you should be looking for and booking your lodging for January or you'll be paying a small fortune. In fact, it's almost too late. They changed the package/pass process this year. I registered but did NOT receive a call time. The irony, I've been doing this since 1996, it NEVER occurred to me that there would be a problem. Another friend registered but was told she was NOT among the chosen. Then, the day after registration, was given the opportunity to buy because Package/Passes were NOT sold out. So, they went to the second-stringers. Holy horse-hockey Batman, what is going on?!?

So, to get you'all excited and inspired about the festival, you might want to go view a few of the Podcasts and Videos from Sundance Past. The vCast of THE Q&A after films like PADRE NUESTRO or the recently released WRISTCUTTERS are terrific. I love the more industry-related pieces like the Case Study of PUCCINI FOR BEGINNERS or the Creative Independence Panel Discussion. I'm always surprised those aren't downloaded more often. At any rate, you might want to look them over to get inspired ... OR ... if your film has been selected, to know what to expect following your screening!
