CDs I Recommend (What I'm into Now)
Sometimes people ask me what I'm listening to on my iPod. I just look at the screen and tell them what's on there. Nevermind my playlist because it is rediculously long and winded. I tend to make long commutes or drive the back roads so to enjoy my long playlists. I think the most I have on my playlist is 148 tracks. And that's the electronica playlist which tends to have longer tunes anyway. So, I figure, why not self-filter and just blog what I'm into. Here's what I'm into at this moment:
Goldfrapp - Supernature
Why? Uh, have you read my two reviews? And besides, Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory put out some fine music. So fine in fact that people are starting to experience some after effects to their music and live shows. After effects range from hysteria to gaining good tastes in music.
Ladytron - Witching Hour

Why? I'm diggin' that song, "Destroy Everything You Touch". I dunno. To not groove to that, you must be utterly dead or at least groove deficient. But I did hear other tracks and decided to get the whole thing.
The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike!

Why? Honestly, I had no idea who or what this band was before October of this year. I only knew about them when I went to Tower Records at Lincoln Center in NY and I was buying the import of Goldfrapp's Supernature. While I was in the "G" section at imports, I saw the Go! Team's cd and thought, "Wow. That's a cool looking cd cover. What's this Thunder, Lightning, Strike?" So, I went to their website and lo and behold, their music just sucked me in.
T.M. Revolution - Vertical Infinity
Why? Besides the fact that his music is used in the opening credits of some great anime shows (Gundam Seed is one and Rurouni Kenshin is another), this J-Pop artist had me hooked to his pop sounds. Plus, he pretty much is the epitome of visual kei (men who look androgynous) in Japan, which is very acceptable and normal in that part of the world. And no Chinese actors were used to play the parts of J-Pop singers.
L'Arc~en~Ciel - Awake
Why? I get all weird and fan girlie when these guys perform. Are they my New Kids on the Block? No. They are more or less my Def Leppard, my Nirvana and my Radiohead all rolled up into this nice, cute J-rock package.
