Music With a Twist - A Gay Record Label
If Matt Farber can launch Logo, why the hell not a record label? I'm curious, does it matter who's on this label? And since it's music "embraced by the gay community" as the press release states, does the label make sense? What's next? A film distribution company that only has a stable of titles from or inspired by the gay community?
Thoughts????
BTW - Has D.E.B.S. aired on Logo yet? If not why? It's not like it's that difficult to license it. I would be surprised if it is licensed to another net.

I am an aspiring singer and I would like some information on how on this record label. Is there a website or an address I can send my demo to?

I think that Jimmy Roland an R&B/Pop/Dance artist should be on this compilation CD as well as be signed to the label. I've seen him perform at Long Beach Gay Pride, Palm Springs and Phoenix Pride a few weeks ago. He has awesome vocal talent and deserves to be included.

I think you should check out the site and consider my new artist for this developing label

Hi... I'm a professional singer/songwriter. I have worked Vegas, Reno, Taho, N.Y. etc. I have an extensive resume... more importantly, I've just completed a CD that is a tribute to Carmen McRae. She recorded a couple of my songs a while back and now I've done this CD and I'm label-shopping. I would prefer a gay label this time around. I do have interest from two jazz labels - but as I said, I would prefer a gay label. I have sung in mostly "straight" venues all my life and have written for many TV shows, movies and artists - but now it's my turn -- and I want to know if I can send you something. I have some samples on myspace.com/Jelsa Palao you can check it out there. Thank you for your time.
