Spotlight on... Ladytron

I have to admit, I was a bit passive about this band when they first came out in 2001 with their debut album 604. And although Light & Magic spawned a hit single in "Seventeen", I still wasn't hitching a ride. I didn't get into them until Witching Hour was released and suddenly I approached their music with open arms. The third album is considered their darkest yet (just listen to the lyrics of "International Dateline" and you can see where people get that idea). And fans and critics do seem to agree on one thing, their sound is maturing. I hope they include a DJ set in addition to their live show at SxSW. That would be cool. My favorite tracks off the album are: "Destroy Everything You Touch", "High Rise", "CMYK", "International Dateline", "Fighting in Built Up Areas" and "All the Way".
