NY Comic-Con: After the Cooling Off Period

Ok. I'm going to show pictures now b/c I'm still seething from what happened Saturday. There was an article from ICv2 wrapping up what happened over the weekend. I found it funny and sad. Funny because Reed Exhibitions admitted that they knew the floor was too small to accommodate a crowd of 20,000+. Sad because the show would've been perfect if they gave a little more respect to the industry in general. I have a little note to Reed Exhibitions -- there are a lot of exhibitors who are pissed at you. A lot.

I have a couple of things to add... Karen Lynn Gorney and Gloria Steinem. Both were there and for different reasons. Gorney was there because I have no fucking clue why (You know who she is right? She was Travolta's disco dance partner from Saturday Night Fever). And Steinem was there to promote her comic called Carrie Giver. Um, it was weird to see them there. Frank Miller was there Sunday and that was cool. He mentioned that Sin City 2 will go into production this summer, which illicited vocal appreciation from the crowd. The sequel will follow the Nancy Callahan character after the suicide of Hartigan. And the film will introduce new characters such as Ava. Miller admitted that it will be fun casting the part of Ava. Fun indeed.

We're currently editing segments that will air on Comcast's Anime Selects VOD.
